The Start.

Writing a blog is where you can express absolutely everything you’re feeling, yet different interpretations cannot defile the written statements -fact or fiction. The people reading may or may not care to delve into your past or quite frankly even care. After much deliberation over the thought of writing a blog I finally have come to the conclusion that personally it’s somewhere I can vent, talk, imagine and describe so many different experiences.

I want to be able to develop a blog of full life encounters and document how fortunate and unfortunate I will happen to be. I want to look back at this and be able to remember small details of some of the greatest opportunities. I want to pretend -even just for a moment- that I am smart and sophisticated and committed fully to something for once.

My first year of University has just finished and being the youngest one out of all of my friends to do so is somewhat of an accomplishment. Being in the year above than what I should throughout high school allowed me to develop to a more mature age than I am to the extent that I’m already ready to accept the ‘crazy cat lady’ award by the time I hit 20. It hit me today as I started to uncover scraps of paper and random stolen items from nights out that I am moving out of the first place I have ever lived in without the support of parents. It’s incredible to think that in just a few short months i’ll be in a flat with some of the weirdest, funniest and most supporting people I have met throughout my fresher year. Time really doesn’t count for anything anymore. The hard truth of time going exceptionally fast is terrifying, but after reading a blog post today I realised that time is what you make of it. Nobody ever breathed their last breaths with the regret of not working more.

To some people I may be the most boring blogger or most pointless. But with blogging comes great open mindedness and inspiration. So… To whomever is reading this, thank you. I really do sincerely hope you’ll enjoy the most random moments of the rest of my University career and of course my past embarrassments (trust me, there are numerous).

Goodnight from the capital! XImage

  1. Ha, you won’t have to worry about being the most boring blogger as I have already claimed that prize–several years in a row now. Congrats on finishing your first year–that is an accomplishment
